Editorial responsibility

Alexandre Saint-Jean holds editorial responsibility for all content published on saint-jean.co. Every article, every newsletter issue and every piece of training material is reviewed by a human before publication: facts and figures are checked, cited sources are verified, and relevance to the intended reader is assessed. No content is published without this review.

What AI does, and what it does not do

To put it plainly, AI is a production tool here, not an authority. Here is where it is involved.

• Drafting first versions of articles, which are then reworked and approved by hand.
• Generating illustration images.
• Voice synthesis for the audio versions of articles.
• Help with structuring: outlines, the hierarchy of ideas, section breakdown.

And here is where it is not involved.

• No automated decision concerning any individual, whoever they are.
• No exam grading: exam marking is entirely rule-based, against a marking scheme written by hand.
• No automatic sending of emails.

Tools used

• Anthropic Claude : drafting, structuring, writing assistance.
• Google Gemini : generating illustration images.
• ElevenLabs : voice synthesis for the audio versions.
• Mistral AI : AI-assisted reading of professional text within our internal sales-tracking tool, on European infrastructure.

Notices on content

The audio versions of articles are produced by voice synthesis from the written text. The voice used is a stock catalogue voice, not the clone of a real voice: no one is being impersonated, and no recording of an identifiable person was used to produce it.

AI literacy

An automated weekly watch tracks model providers' releases, their release notes, changes to their terms of use and regulatory developments. This watch feeds into ongoing training: what is taught in the classroom is what is being tested in production, not what was read six months earlier. Day-to-day practice with these tools, on the website's own content as well as on client projects, completes the approach and reflects Article 4 of the EU AI Act, in force since February 2025 for both providers and deployers of AI systems.
